Camp Eden is situated on a 4500 acre farm between Heidelberg and Balfour (approx. one hour drive from JHB centre). It is a hilly area with a river and dams and mostly indigenous vegetation.

Campsite Details:
Main Campsite:
Accommodation is in dormitories, equipped with bunk beds and mattresses, and sleeps +/- 80, including loft rooms. There are also three smaller rooms with en suite bathrooms.
Ablution blocks have hot and cold running water.
Wholesome meals are prepared by our staff.
Meal times are as follows:

The hall seats +/-80.
There is a large lawn activity area and reservoir pool.
Tuck shop facility (sweets, chocolates and cold drinks)
Activities include all those detailed below.
Bush Campsite:
Rustic campsite with tents (Maximum 50 people)
Bush toilet, ground level campfire/cooking area, no electricity/running water.
Basic cooking equipment/utensils and food is provided, but campers do the cooking.
There is no access by car and parking is at main campsite.
Activities include all those detailed below.
Bush camps are run in a “survivor type” way – can be used as a good team-building weekend or community building weekend.

:: Obstacle Activities (which include hiking trails with obstacles along the way and then your normal obstacle type course)
:: Raft Building/Rafting at the Dam
:: Ball Games, (soccer, volleyball, touch rugby)
:: Horse riding (additional cost of R5 per person riding)
:: War Games (Additional cost of R20 per person playing)

All activities are run by J-Life Ministries’ staff with the assistance of the camp leaders attending the camp.
Camp leaders should develop their own programme and slot the activities that we offer into the programme.
All activities are done at own risk.
J-Life Ministries’ staff will need to know the programme by the Wednesday before the camp.

:: 25 to 40 Campers: R 210.00 pp until 31st December 2006
:: 40 Campers and over: R 195.00 pp until 31st December 2006

Bush Camp Site
Any size camp: R185.00 pp until 31st December 2006
:: Costs are per person per weekend and include all meals from Friday Dinner to Sunday Lunch.
:: Long weekend prices can be arranged.
:: To secure your booking, a deposit must be paid within 1 week of the booking:
:: :: - This deposit is non-refundable if a camp is cancelled within 1 month of the camp starting date.
:: :: - 50% is refundable if the camp is cancelled within 3 months of the camp starting date.
:: :: - 90% is refundable if the camp is cancelled more than 3 months before the camp starting date.

:: Sleeping Bag (Extra Blanket In Winter) Pillow, Old clothing – especially for the Bush Camp (Overalls will only be provided for War Games), Walking Shoes/Takkies, Towel, Swimwear, Personal Toiletries, Sun Screen, Insect Repellant, Torch, Water Bottle (if hiking)
:: Extras for Bush Camp Only: Eating Utensils, Mattress/Sleeping Sponge/Air Mattress (No Stretchers please), and Waterproof jacket.

Directions:
:: Take The N3 Highway towards Durban
:: Take the offramp that says: Balfour
:: Heidelberg (Suid)
:: At the top of the offramp turn Left
:: Travel for about 15 km
:: Turn Right at the Driefontein sign (shortly after the Mpumalanga Border sign) onto a sand road (you will see a Camp Eden sign here)
:: Follow the sand road for 9km until you see a large white farm house on your right and Camp Eden
