The need for young people to acquire the necessary life skills in order to help them develop into competent and mature young adults seems to be growing all the time. J-Life Ministries offers a Life Discipleship programme designed to help the local church with that process. The Life Discipleship Programme is designed for a local church looking to provide a gap year / post matric year for their young people. The church sends a young person to J-Life for a four month training period. Thereafter the young person returns to their church where they would continue the programme under the oversight of their youth pastor / mentor. J-Life will assist the local church by providing the prescribed course material that will need to be completed under the guidance of a designated person within the church. Individuals will be required to meet with an accountability group or youth pastor in order to discuss relevant topics and work through further course material and course requirements throughout the year.

Please note that the Life Discipleship programme is only offered to young people where their local church is willing to “buy-in” to the programme and carry on the process after the four month training period at J-Life.

The overall aim of this programme is to provide an environment for spiritual, emotional, and character development, as well as a comprehensive grounding in the principles of vocational godliness. After a four month training period (January ­ April) at a J-Life centre, you would return to your church where you would continue the programme under the oversight of your youth pastor / mentor. Please note that the Life Discipleship programme is only offered to young people where their local church is willing to “buy-in” to the programme and carry on the process after the four month training period at J-Life.
